"The Golden Barrel"

The Golden Barrel was inspired by a holiday to Pembrokeshire, where I fell in love with the rolling surf at Freshwater West Beach. I wanted to capture the energy and movement of the waves as they curl and crash towards the shore, while reflecting the warmth of the beach beneath them.

Using layers of deep turquoise, ocean blues, white foam and golden sandy tones, I created a piece that combines the wildness of the sea with the calm, natural beauty of the coastline. The sweeping movement of the wave draws you into its barrel, capturing that fleeting moment just before it breaks.
